Development of agility and its influence on football practice

Objective: To develop agility and its incidence in soccer practice through an exercise program for boys and girls aged 8 to 10 years at C.D.E.F. Royal Academy of the province of Manabí, Portoviejo canton, Picoazá parish.
Methods: The research design was observational-experimental. A total of 12 athletes were evaluated, and three tests were applied to measure agility.
Results: The results obtained from the application of the exercise guide were significant at the time of the post-test. The exercises used in this guide and applied during the training sessions were related to agility and dribbling.
Conclusions: It was concluded that the exercises used with the athletes allowed them to improve their performance times, which demonstrates that the boys and girls improved and developed agility through soccer practice.
