Ejercicios para disminuir la hiperactividad en niños de 7-9 años que practican taekwondo

Objetivos: Investigar el impacto del taekwondo, específicamente de los ejercicios de orden marcial, en la reducción de los síntomas de hiperactividad en niños. Se buscó determinar si esta disciplina podría servir como una estrategia eficaz para mejorar la atención, reducir la impulsividad y promover la autorregulación del comportamiento en los niños.
Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo con un grupo de 5 niños que practicaban taekwondo. Durante un período de 90 días, los niños realizaron movimientos y técnicas organizadas y sincronizadas conocidas como ejercicios de orden marcial. Estas actividades son parte integral del entrenamiento en taekwondo y se enfocan tanto en la disciplina física como mental.
Resultados: Los resultados indicaron una reducción significativa en los síntomas de hiperactividad entre los niños. Se observaron mejoras en la actividad excesiva, la falta de atención y la impulsividad. Además, se notó una mejora en la capacidad de los niños para mantener la concentración y controlar sus impulsos.
Conclusiones: El taekwondo, más allá de sus beneficios físicos, demostró tener potencial como una herramienta eficaz para abordar la hiperactividad en los niños. La naturaleza estructurada y disciplinada de los ejercicios de orden marcial contribuyó a mejoras en el comportamiento. Asimismo, la práctica del taekwondo fomenta valores humanos esenciales como la disciplina, el respeto, la perseverancia y la autoconfianza, lo que lo convierte en un enfoque integral para el desarrollo infantil.
